Title: Comparison of High Aerobic Capacity and Low Aerobic Capacity Sportspersons in Health Related Physical Fitness and Selected Psychological Variables

Abstract: The researcher investigated and makes comparison of selected health related newlinephysical fitness components and selected psychological variables which involving newlinehigh aerobic capacity sportspersons and low aerobic capacity sportspersons from newlineKashmir division. This is descriptive research under survey method based on the newlinepopulation of adult sportspersons whose age is ranged between 18 to 25 years with a newlinesample size of 200 sportspersons. The researcher was in need of high aerobic newlinecapacity sportspersons and low aerobic capacity sportspersons only. In this study the newlineresearcher used purposive sampling method. For the selection of high aerobic newlinecapacity sportspersons and low aerobic capacity sportspersons, the students were newlinetested through Harvard Step Test. The Harvard step test for identifying the high newlineaerobic capacity sportspersons and low aerobic capacity sportspersons was taken on newline331 sportspersons. In this study, the high aerobic capacity sportspersons were newlineconsidered those whose fitness condition Under Harvard step test was 80 and above, newlinewhereas, the low aerobic capacity sportspersons were considered those whose fitness newlinecondition under Harvard step test was 64 and Below of it. The sportspersons whose newlinefitness condition was scored between 65 and 79 were considered average aerobic newlinecapacity sportspersons and the researcher did not include them for the further newlineresearch. The research was delimited to the male sportsperson subjects. The subjects newlinewere taken from undergraduate government colleges (except women colleges) newlineaffiliated to university of Kashmir. After identifying high aerobic capacity newlinesportspersons and low aerobic capacity sportspersons the researcher take test on the newlinesubjects related to health related physical fitness (HRPF) which including newlinecardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance and flexibility. newlineThe information related to anxiety and mental health was collected in the shape of newlinequestionnaires.
