Petrogenesis of Lamprophyres from the western margin of the Cuddapah basin within Eastern Dharwar craton Southern India

Abstract

In the present work attempt has been made to unravel the large and small scale newlinegeodynamics of the area through study of the small volume alkaline intrusive in Eastern newlineDharwar craton located outside Cuddapah basin to the west of the craton. The objective is newlineto propose a comprehensive petrogenetic model for the lamprophyres from the study area, newlineto understand their genesis vis-à-vis the co-spatial kimberlites for understanding of the newlineevolution of the sub-continental lithospheric mantle (SCLM) beneath the EDC, to newlineunderstand genesis of small-volume potassic magmatism within and around the Cuddapah newlinebasin and investigates the nature and evolution of the mantle source newline
