Abstract: The spinel aluminate systems were extensively studied due to theirpromising and fascinating physical and chemical properties. Recently, the spinelmetal oxide semiconducting has attracted peculiar electrical and opticalproperties. Thus, is seen as suitable applications of optoelectronic device. Thespinel aluminate systems were high tuned by the effect of sintering temperatureand site substitution of samples. The preparation method plays major roles in thespinel aluminate system are very few researchers recycled for physic-chemicalproperties of spinel oxide compounds. In the present thesis work, we have synthesized some spinel aluminates atthe nano-level without any foreign impurities. The unique physical propertieswere studied for pure and selected site-substitution of spinel aluminate sampleswere analyzed and reported. The brief introduction to the non-magnetic or weak magnetic spineloxide system its physical properties and application were reported in chapter1.A wide range of the selected literature review to motivate of the present researchwork and the various synthesis methods and characterization techniques forspinel oxide systems were described in chapter 2. In addition, the basicinformation about the working principle aspect of the experiments which areused for characterization of the physical properties of prepared samples wasdiscussed in detail.A detailed study on the role of cation distribution on the order-disorderphase transition in Magnesium aluminate (MgAl2O4) was discussed in chapter 3.The Magnesium aluminate samples were synthesized by the co-precipitationmethod and subsequently sintered at different temperatures viz (500oC, 700oCand 900oC) for 3 hrs. in an open-air atmosphere. The sintered samples werepulverized into fine powder for further characterization. newline
