Abstract: | The ubiquitous usage of refrigeration and air conditioning systems is constantly growing worldwide. This added burden of power consumption has resulted in a regular and seasonal fluctuation in electricity demand which creates new demand and energy supply challenges. The most effective approach for addressing the discrepancy between energy supply and demand seems to be Cool Thermal Energy Storage (CTES) systems. Phase change material(PCM) based thermal energy storage system is regarded as the better option among the various energy storage systems and find its use in the various sectors such as building air conditioning, commercial establishments like the mall, auditorium, etc newline |
