dc.description.abstractFrom Corporation High school Ramalingam Colony, Corporation SRP Ammaniammal Girls newlineHigher Secondary School, Corporation Girls Higher Secondary School, Ranganathapuram, newlineCorporation Girls Higher Secondary School, R. S. Puram,Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, 500 school girl newlinestudents studying in class VI to VIII (age group ranging from 10 years to 13 years) from four schools newlinewere screened for Stress Inventory and State Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI). Out of them, 108 School newlineGirl Children with Very High to Moderate level of Stress and Anxiety and sexually abused girls newlinewere selected for the study and Loneliness Inventory and Assertiveness Scale were also administered newlineas a psychological intervention Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Relaxation Therapywas used. Four newlinesessions of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy were given to the students in one week, with each session newlinelasting for 2 - 2 ½ hours. After two weeks, the students were reassessed for Stress Inventory and State newlineTrait Anxiety Inventory. Initially, few of the students had Very High and High stress and few of the newlinesample had High and Moderate Anxiety. After Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, it got reducedto newlinelowstress and anxiety. The differences in mean Stress Inventory, State Trait Anxiety Inventory, newlineLoneliness Inventory and AssertivenessScale after Cognitive Behaviour Therapy were statistically newlinesignificant. There was a significant difference among Sexually Abused Girl Children during Before, newlineAfter and Follow-up through Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. newlinei) Major objectives : newlineTo find out the efficacy of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy in reducing stress, anxiety and loneliness newlineamong the sexually abused girl children. newlineTo find out the Efficacy of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy in enhancing Assertiveness among newlinesexually abused girl children newlineii) Hypothesis: newlineiii) H1: There will be a significant difference in Physiological Stress, Cognitive Stress, newlineEmotional Stress, and Behavioural Stress among Sexually Abused Girl children during newlineBefore, After and Follow-up through Cognitive Behaviour Therapy.
