Abstract: The imperative need for sustainable global energy system and frontier climate change requires fast and persistent change to necessitate the new developing potential application. However, analyzing the exhaust of newlineglobal energy-related nature, it is understood that there is a need to have newlinereliable energy systems for adapting future technologies. The researchers and newlineindustries have resorted to conversion of waste to engender a reliable energy newlinesystem for the development of global energy operation. Literature and other newlinestudies reveal that the electrochemical capacitors or supercapacitors will be newlinethe new and modified energy storage devices to meet variety of applications. newlineBased on the above perspectives, the present thesis focuses on synthesis and newlinecharacterization of activated carbon for supercapacitor application. This dissertation provides a summary of supercapacitor and its electrode material. The landfill or unnoticed biowaste were grabbed are used as potential stock materials for transforming into activated carbon electrode materials for supercapacitors. Synthesis via simple hydrothermal method was utilized for the activation of bio-wastes into activated carbon and their electrochemical properties were studied. The bio-waste are extracted from the plant species include Borassus flabellifer, Datura metel seed pod and Prosopis newlinejuliflora in this work. newline newline
