Abstract: E-commerce or Electronics Commerce is a methodology of modern business newlinewhich addresses the needs of business organizations, vendors and customers to reduce newlinecost and improve the quality of goods and services while increasing the speed of newlinedelivery. In India gradually the trend of doing electronic business is increasing and newlinethere are several software service companies claiming to develop and deliver ECommerce newlineweb portals. newlineSince the e-commerce portal development includes too many integrations like newlineVendor Information, Buyer Information and Authentication, Inventory, Payment newlineGateways, Delivery Logistics etc., it becomes very important to detect the defect at newlinethe end of each phase of developmental activity. newlineCurrently the existing practice, as per surveys is to detect the defect at the end newlineof the coding stage by way dynamic testing which is a latent method. As an newlinealternative, at the end of each stage like a)Requirement gathering, b)Design, c) newlinecreation of wire frames, if the defects are detected, then the code developed on such newlinerelatively error free defect artifacts, will have lesser defects. newlineE-commerce sites use electronic payment where electronic payment refers to newlinepaperless monetary transactions. Electronic payment has revolutionized the business newlineprocessing by reducing paper work, transaction costs, labour cost etc. However, the newlinepayment gateway integrations could be susceptible to external / internal, intentional, newlineun-intentional attacks. Hence it becomes all the more important to produce the newlinesoftware that has less defects, that will also build the customer and vendor confidence. newlineThe probability of failure free operation for a specified period time is the newlinereliability of software produced. It is taken as a Non-Functional Requirement in the newlineindustry today. A number of software reliability models have emerged as people try newlineto understand the attributes of how and why software fails, and try to quantify newlinesoftware reliability. As per the literature study done, the development of e-commerce newlineWeb sites is done by following differe
