dc.description.abstract | Recently there has been great deal of interest in ABO3 perovskite based materials ABO3 A Y Tb and La BMn and Fe perovskite materials form an interesting family showing a wide variety of physical properties However these materials can be used in sensors magnetic data storage nonvolatile memory transducers and gate ferroelectrics in field effect transistors When ABO3 materials were prepared as nanoparticles nanorods nanospheres and nanocomposites with well controlled size and shape as well as size distribution they exhibit improved properties compared to their bulk form ABO3 type perovskite structure has attracted great attention among the researchers due to its wide applications in various catalytic activities as electrode material in solid oxide fuel cells electronic and magnetic materials and as electrodes in high temperature environments newlineIn this study YMnO3 nanorods were successfully prepared by hydrothermal method The structural magnetic and optical properties of YMnO3 nanorods have been studied The XRD pattern confirmed that the prepared sample is phase pure with hexagonal structure HRSEM HRTEM and AFM images revealed that the sample contains uniform nanorods with average diameter of 100 nm and length in several micrometers MFM image shows magnetic distribution in the rod newline newline | en_US |
