Abstract: Productivity has been a concern for the construction industry, as the growth and progress depend intensely on the productivity of resources in case of every industry. Many factors like lack of correctly trained, expert supervisors and workers, deteriorated local construction labour force leads to growth of a huge, typically inexpert and fleeting band of alien workers are accountable for the productivity levels and survival of the construction industry. Labour productivity is one such factor that can decline or improve the overall productivity of the construction industry and it is of dominant significance to a country facilitating the national economy. The aspects of the research method espoused are as follows: the factors constraining the construction productivity have been identified from the relevant literature, questionnaires are organized based on these factors, the dependability of the collected data is evaluated by statistical analysis, the factors constraining labour productivity are recognized and recommendations for improving labour productivity are afforded based on the results of the statistical analysis. The impact of climatic conditions on the labour productivity especially in construction trades is analyzed so as to provide counteractive measures aiming at enhancing the performances of the labours. This process comprises the calculation of productivity, collection of productivity information and using that information for designing construction model. The impact of geographical location of trade based productivity is analyzed with the data obtained from three different construction projects using SPSS statistical tool. The rationale behind the deviation in the labour productivity is scrutinized.A probabilistic model has been developed to optimize the labour productivity. Also, this research embarks the improvement of productivity for the Indian construction industry. It has also developed the approaches overcome the challenges encountered towards the performance of organization. newline
