The present study explored life orientation, work environment and organizational justice as the predictor of organizational commitment among sales executives in automobile dealerships. The data was gathered from 300 sales executives of authorized dealerships of India s top 6 four-wheeler manufacturers. The data was collected from authorized passenger cars and utility vehicles dealerships in Delhi and NCR, using purposive sampling technique. Variables were measured through Organizational Commitment Questionnaire, Life Orientation Test Revised, Organisational Climate Inventory (Form B), Moorman s Measure of Procedural and Interactional Justice and Distributive Justice Index. Correlational analysis revealed that all variables namely work environment, procedural and interactional justice and distributive justice (except life orientation) had a significant positive relationship with organizational commitment. Regression analysis revealed that work environment, organizational justice individually predicted organizational commitment but life orientation did not predict organizational commitment. Life orientation (R=0.030, F (1, 298)=0.274, p=0.601) explained 0.1% of variance in predicting organization commitment and thus H1 was not validated. Work Environment (R=0.378, F (1, 298) =49.581, p=0.000) explained 14.3% of variance in predicting organization commitment and thus H2 was validated. Organizational justice i.e. procedural and interactional and distributive justice (R=0.497, F (2,297)=48.742, p=0.000) explained 24.7% of variance in predicting organization commitment and thus H3 was validated. Further, results of Multiple regression analysis suggest that when all the major study variables were taken together namely life orientation, work environment and organizational justice they collectively predict organizational commitment. Life Orientation, work environment and organizational justice (R=0.509, F (4, 295) =25.791, p=0.000) explained 25.9% of variance in predicting organization commitment thus H4 was validated.
