Abstract: The Researcher studied on Problems of Teaching English Poetry newlineat Undergraduate Level in Hajjah University and S.R.T.M University: A newlineComparative Study . Basically English is the essential language at the newlineInternational platform. It is taught almost in all the countries at global level. newlineIt is using as a Second language or foreign language in most of countries. newlinePoetry is one of the element and traditional genres of literature. English newlinePoetry is one of the core courses of any faculty that teaches through newlineliterature. The present study have gone through various Socio-psychological newlinemodes such as the Acculturation model which has observed SLA from a newlinesocial-psychological point of view. It is claimed that: SLA is just one newlineaspect of acculturation and the degree to which a learner acculturates to the newlinetarget language group will control the degree to which he / she acquires the newlineSecond language.[2] Understanding of Second Language Acquisition. newlineTherefore, the current research work is focussed on the teaching newlinepoetry, problems, and solution for teaching it at the Undergraduate level in newlinethe Yemeni and Indian Universities and affiliated colleges are assessed by newlineseveral parameters including socio-psychological factors of the teachinglearning newlinemodes. It is found that there are difficulties and problems to newlineunderstand the poetry of English as a Foreign Language or Second tongue newlinein the Yemeni and Indian Universities affiliated Colleges. newlineBy and Large poetry is one of the core study of any faculty that newlineteaches English literature, and, therefore, teachers of English literature need newlineto attempt to seek out the crucial problems which students face in studying newlinethis particular literary form. It is assumed that students in general, newline(iv) newlineregardless of their language and culture, experience some dread of newlineapproaching poetry.
