Abstract: | With the advances in the development of information technology like social media, transfer of visual data is essential. While transmitting through the insecure channel of communication for different purposes the data must be ciphered in an unintelligible form. Efficiency of the modern encryption algorithms and usage of electronic devices has improved a lot in last few years.In the beginning information is secured by hiding or substituting part of the information with numbers, special characters. The cryptographic algorithm takes a vital role in maintaining security, accuracy and efficiency. The algorithm which is used for securing communication requires a higher level of security. The major contributions of this thesis are (1) Granting Higher Security to the sensitive data in the network transmission. (2) Making the Image transmission easy and efficient in the unsecured network. (3) Compressing the data to make the Encryption and Decryption process easier. The Proposed Optimized Homomorphic Encryption (OHE) mechanism is used in this dissertation. TheOptimized Homomorpic Encryption is applied to various applications such as Conducting Electronic Voting, Optimized Homomorphic Encrytion operations on Medical Images and Searching of data called Private Information Retrieval(PIR).Electronic Voting involves the Encryption and Decryption ofOptimized Homomorphic Encryption. Various Comparisons are used to show the performance of the System in Electronic Voting. Both the advantages of Private Key Encryption and Public Key Encryption are used in the Optimized Homomorphic Encryption. The Votes collected are encrypted and given to the Central Machine and then Decrypted to find out the Maximum Score that is the Winning Candidate.
