dc.description.abstract | The increasing disquiets over environmental pollution, global warming, and security of energy have improved attention in increasing environmentally friendly and renewable energy sources like wind, hydropower, solar, hydrogen, biomass, and geothermal as the substitutes for fossil fuels. The wind power utilization basically eradicates CO2, SO2, NOx productions and other destructive wastes as in radioactive wastes in nuclear power plants or outmoded coal-fuel power plants. There were several approaches employed in the conversion of energy storage system. Among the others renewable energy sources, solar and the wind sources are the most predominant one. As wind energy is capable of providing high power and can meet the power demand requirements, also it required less space and low maintenance compared with solar, in the proposed system, Wind Energy Conversion System (WECS) is implemented in order to increase the power generation of the system thereby reducing the power fluctuation. The major concept behind this presented technique is investigating a switching pulse pattern to approach 4 switches, 3 phase inverter system. By using this, the power fluctuations can be eradicated. Likewise, the high power is generated by using a converter system. There are several converter system that are investigated for WECS, however there were some shortcomings that could be rectified by the use of SEPIC converter in our presented technique. The total harmonic distortion (THD) can be reduced by using the proposed technique. Thus, the power generation can be increased by means of this proposed system. The fuzzy logic control was used which has some advantages like speed control against wind gusts and having superior dynamic and steady state performances. A fuzzy controller is designed, so as to improve the performance of the DC capacitor voltage variation as compared to the newline | |
