Abstract: | The purpose of current study is to investigate the passive and electrically helped newlinetransdermal transport of the Tapentadol hydrochloride shortly termed as (TPH) newlinethrough iontophoresis. For improved bioavailability, improved patient compliance, newlineimproved form of delivery for TPH, an iontophoretic drug delivery system is newlineformulated, which was delivered through the thermosensitive TPH gel and Pluronic newlinelecithin organogel (PLO) was formulated using Lutrol F-127 and Pluronic Lecithin newlinerespectively. The research regulated by making use of silver-silver chloride electrodes newlinethrough the pigskin which is hairless. The effects on permeation of pH, the newlineconcentration of polymer, layout of electrodes, and TPH pulse rate were analyzed. newlineUsing conductometry, the relationship between viscosity, temperature, and TPH newlineconductance was were performed. Iontophoretic TPH transport was found to newlinemaximize with a decrease in medium pH and maximizes with increase in surface area newlineof electrode. Anodal pulsed iontophoresis through disc electrode considerably newlineincreases TPH skin permeation as they being compared through passive flow controls. newlineKEYWORDS: Tapentadol Hydrochloride, Thermosensitive Gels, PLO, newlineConductance, Viscosity, Permeation, Pulsed current |
