Abstract: | Heterocyclic compound synthesis is recognised as one of the main branches of organic chemistry. Furthermore, they have gained massive importance not only from the industrial point of view but also overall development of humanity at large. Heterocyclic compounds that contain N, and O atoms possess a significant role in the field of medical and pharmaceutical chemistry. Heterocyclic compounds containing nitrogen, oxygen, and sulfur heteroatoms are well studied as they exhibit numerous properties, variety of applications in industrial sector. The main objective of thesis is to design and synthesize novel nitrogen heterocyclic compounds through readily available chemicals. In addition to this, we would like to develop a simple one pot multicomponent domino reaction towards the development of pharmaceutically functional scaffolds where C-C, C-O, and C-N bond formation occurs simultaneously any before isolation of intermediaries formed during the course of reaction. The present thesis is divided into four chapters. They are as follows newlineChapter 1: This chapter describes the literature review of Heterocyclic Compounds such as Dihydrotetrazolo [1, 5-a] pyrimidines, Aziridines, and Benzimidazoles. These heterocyclic skeletons have significant application as antidiabietic, anti-histamine, anti-migraine, anti-cancer, and as Alzheimer s drug. newlineChapter 2: The second chapter describes the literature review of PEG-400 and its synthetic utility towards tetrazolopyrimidines and quinazolines. newlineChapter 3: This chapter describes the synthesis of aziridines using BF3.(OEt)2 via three component protocol. newlineChapter 4: This chapter describes the synthesis of novel Indole-3-substituted-2-Benzimidazoles and their anti-cancer evaluation. newlineKey Words: Dihydrotetrazolo [1, 5-a] pyrimidines, Aziridines, Benzimidazoles, Indoles, and Anti- cancer activity. newline newline |
