Abstract: In the fast-growing economy, stress has become an inevitable occurrence in newlineeveryone s life. Though the concept of this emotional feeling called stress being in newlinepractice for the long back, the dimensions of its scope, causes and antecedents are newlinevarying time to time. The impact of stress and factors of stressors are varying to an newlineindividual s capacity, attitude and environment. However, the concept stress can t be newlinetaken in the negative sense, because it is analyzed and found that certain level of newlinestress is considered as good to an individual so as to survive and achieve in the life. newlineAmong various stress, job stress otherwise called occupational stress is considered as newlinemajor stress. The occupational stressors considered for the study are time stress, role newlineconflict, co-worker support and organizational politics. The survival of the banks newlinewould depend on customer satisfaction in the competitive business world and for newlinewhich the employees in the banks needs to be trained to increase job performance. newlineThe job stress has direct relationship with job performance. However, the newlinemanagement of emotional intelligence may help the employees to avoid the effect of newlinestress over productivity. This study has been undertaken with an aim to identify the newlinefactors causing job stress among bank professionals and to find the ways for how newlineemotional intelligence and resilience mediating the stress and job performance in newlinebanking sector. The success of any industry mainly depends on its employee newlineperformance. As banks play vital role in country s development suggesting bank newlineemployees to overcome their stress and to increase their productivity is more newlineimportant.
