Abstract: The study investigated the potential and strategies for Ecotourism in Mizoram with a case study of Phawngpui National Park and sought to justify the following research objectives: newlineTo study the potential of Phawngpui National Park as an ecotourism destination. (Preparation of Resource Inventory and Resource Use Pattern) and to study the present status of tourism in Phawngpui National Park and the view of the local/ host population towards tourism and in particular ecotourism. Also, Profiling of tourists visiting the study area, studying the relationship between tourism and conservation and satisfaction level of the tourist and host population. The objective also assess the carrying capacity of the area and suggest planning and management strategies for developing the study area as ecotourism destination. newline newline
