Abstract: In the competitive scenario the organizations identify sustainability as a significant assessment, adding for emerging sustainable products. Sustainable manufacturing approach should be gainful and ecologically while presence of peaceful both substantially and generally for each one in the system. Modern manufacturing sectors face the challenge of sustainable development along with the process associated through ecological, societal and cost effective impacts. In this context the designers are in search of procedures for generating ecological sensible products. The utilization of software tool features to necessitate significant developments in environmental design practices for assigning sustainable manufacturing concepts. This thesis work priorities sustainability and defeats the inadequacies by integrating ecological design and production process methodologies across all phases of product life cycle. The key features and necessities of sustainability, which are associated with identify contemporary manufacturing systems. This work also highlights a comparative study on the present sustainability assessment tools is accomplished to categorize proposed assessment tools established on suitability to modern manufacturing systems. The restrictions by assessing the significant investigation work in system demonstrating for considering and enhancing manufacturing sustainability. Six case studies have been accompanied to comprehend the appropriate of this novel framework. The first two case studies reveal the minimisation of environmental impact using the working model based on Computer Aided Design (CAD). The commercial products like keyboard and electric bulb holder to analyse the impact of sustainable product design. The environmental impact was assessed in terms of carbon footprint, energy newline
