Abstract: Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is a network consisting of thousands of sensor nodes that are randomly deployed in an environment without surveillance to transmit and collect data from one node to another node. The sensor nodes are battery operated with a much-limited period and work in an incompatible environment that demands to exploit the energy efficiency and needs to prolong the life period of the sensor nodes. Subsequently routing plays a critical role in efficiently utilizing energy to transmit the data along with the wireless sensor network since most of the energy is dissipated during the routing besides with this an optimal route has to be obtained to utilize energy and prolong the network lifetime of the WSN. Further, the sensor nodes are susceptible to various attacks such as Sybil attack, wormhole attack, selective forwarding attack, denial of service attack, etc. These attackers participate in the network to indulge the behavior of the sensor nodes and degrades the performance of the network as well as disrupts the route during transmission. newline newlineSo, a need arises to investigate the design and development of an energy-efficient routing with a secured network so that the energy of the sensor nodes are utilized efficiently besides the nodes are protected from vulnerable attacks to ensure that the data transmission takes place in an optimal route without any interruption in route and data reaches the destination by enhancing the lifetime of the network newline
