Abstract: With the beginning of the twenty-first century, there is a massive improvement in the standard of living of the people because of unmatched creation of wealth which nobody thought of previously. At the same time, it also created various environmental and ecological problems. Moreover, in today s industrialized world there is a growing concern among consumers over how food products are being produced. With the growing need for food across the globe, using chemicals to ramp up agricultural production was perceived as the right course of action. This growing concern over the process followed for producing the food has drawn attention of consumers towards natural methods of producing food. newlineToday consumers are becoming more conscious about their consumption, they expect transparency for what they eat and drink, it is believed that organic items are ideally positioned to address these concerns of the purchasers while providing growth to the industry. This mounting public concern over the usage of pesticides and the state of agriculture is drawing attention towards the organic foods in the 1960s.Organic food Products are those food products that are grown and preserved without using artificial additives or chemicals. In other words, neither any kind of harmful fertilizers, pesticides, growth hormones, fungicides, etc are used for producing these food products nor they are genetically modified or regulated through injecting growth hormones In the current scenario organic foods has become major player in the world. It has played an important role and has changed the way people perceived environment has drew their attention towards social responsibilities. Even, the Indian organic market has its roots in different areas which include beauty and personal care, beverages, health and wellness and textile industries.
