Abstract: Cyberspace touches nearly every part of our daily lives and cyber security is newlinewidely viewed as a matter of national importance. We are critically dependent on newlinethe Internet. However, it is inherently insecure and there will always be attempts newlineto exploit weaknesses to launch cyber attacks. Numerous fundamentals related to newlinecyberspace are scandalously susceptible for mounting assortment of attacks by newlinehackers, criminals, terrorists, and state actors who are variety in nature. Many newlinegovernment agencies as well as private-sector companies either large or small, newlineexperienced cyber thefts related to sensitive information, cyber vandalism, newlineransomware and denial-of-service attacks. Firms who are engaged in software newlinedevelopment should reassure that their effort must be to protect the data and newlinenetworks form attack or interference. newlineThis research is aimed to discuss the major cyber threats to e-Governance project newlineand suggest a conceptual framework to enhance the cyber security of these newlineprojects. The risks related to information security and data are now a day s newlinebecoming more and more diversified, superior and multifaceted. Conservative and newlineobsolete means to secure the data fail to guarantee the safety. newlineIn light of the risks related to information security, there is need to strengthen the newlineinformation security management, from the conception level of the project newlinedevelopment. The primary responsibility for surmounting IT risks relating to newlineusage of ICT is of government authorities. Government can reinforce its policies newlineof e-Governance to make and maintain the decisive infrastructures that sustain newlinesocioeconomic activities which are directly associated to the nation s day-to-day newlinelife. newlineThe cyber security framework of other developed countries have also be studied newlineand compared with the developing nations like India.
