Abstract: The growing technologies of the cloud and mobile, has enabled the software defined paradigm to generate a new trail of mobile cloud architecture. The software defined networking is an initiative to redesign the current networking stack to a standardized three level framework. It augments the conventional networking functionalities like connectivity, scalability, network customization, heterogeneity and flexibility in enforcing network policies. Due to the rising complexity in networking infrastructure, there is an unimaginable increase of security vulnerabilities and exposure to various types of sophisticated attacks in the networking scenario newline
