dc.description.abstract | The treatment outcomes of existing pharmacotherapeutic strategies of schizophrenia are hindered due to delay in prediction of drug response. Capturing early symptom improvement is a crucial factor in deciding an appropriate and precise therapeutic regimen in schizophrenic patients. In this context, this study was designed to develop a guideline to identify early symptom improvement threshold that can best predict the subsequent response at week 8 in first episode schizophrenia patients alongside generating the safety signals pertinent to atypical antipsychotics. The research findings of this study may aid in unveiling the non-responders of a particular regimen and prevent inappropriate therapy and associated adverse reactions. | |
