Abstract: Parkinson s disease holds a second place in the neurodegenerative disorders. It newlinefeatures a severe loss in the dopamine carrying neuronal system in the brain, thereby newlineaffecting the muscular coordination and cognition due to an imbalance between the newlinedopamine and acetylcholine. Ten million people around the world were affected with PD newlineand ten percent of the globally affected PD population is from India. In the recent clinical newlineand pre-clinical researches of Parkinson s disease, several environmental factors were newlinedisclosed to exert a crucial role in PD pathogenesis and its progression. Among the newlineenvironmental factors like pesticides, MPTP, anti-psychotics, etc., and there s a minimal newlinefocus on the role of pesticides. The much studied pre-clinical models were MPTP and 6- newlineOHDA induction in animals newline
