Abstract: Solar air heating is an emerging technology involving the use of solar energy. Solar dryers utilise solar energy and offer significant potential in the drying of fruits, vegetables, medicinal plants, and other products, thereby saving conventional fuels, and also offer the advantage of less pollution. Ideally, a solar dryer consists of two main components; a drying chamber and a solar air collector unit which is coupled with the drying chamber. The products dried in solar dryers are of better quality than those dried under the open sun as solar dryers offer controlled drying at the required temperature. Performance enhancement of both the collector and the dryer is essential to achieve effective and desired drying results newline
