Abstract: | The consistent increase in transistor density has placed Very Large Scale newlineIntegration (VLSI) industry in a situation where physical and technological limitations newlineof Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) transistor are impairing the newlineperformance of integrated circuits. Consequently, scientific community is investigating for newlinethe technology beyond CMOS that prevails better performance in terms of chip density, newlinehardware intricacy, power dissipation and speed of operation. Reversible logic and Quantum newlineDot Cellular Automata (QCA) are the emerging paradigms which have potential to substitute newlineCMOS in near future.
