Abstract: As per the Economic Survey (2013-14), with almost 64% of its working population newlinein the age group of 20-35, India will have the youngest workforce by 2021. And since newlinemore and more enterprises are becoming global these days, the workplace is also becoming newlineheterogeneous. Also, it is possibly the first time that the four different generations namely newlinethe Traditionalists, the Baby Boomers, Gen X and Gen Y are working together, in the same newlineorganization and each generation tends to lament the traits of the generations that follow. newlineWhile each generation carries with itself certain specific characteristics, if there is newlineno or little understanding between each generation, it can negatively impact the newlineorganizations. At the same time it is becoming exceedingly important to keep the newlinemillennial workforce motivated and engaged and leaders are facing a challenge of newlinemanaging the millennial population effectively. newline
