Analog to Digital Converter plays a very significant role in any mixed signal system. With the rapid development of modern communication and personal wireless products, there is an increased demand for next generation communication transceivers that require ultra high data conversion rates with reconfigurable architectures. As an important building block in most communication and control systems, Analog to Digital converter isserving as a link between analog and digital systems. There are different types of Analog to digital converters with different architectures, resolutions, sampling rates, power consumptions which exist currently and are used in applications ranging from data acquisitionequipments to mobile communication devices. Since the sampling rate, resolution and power consumption of an Analog to Digital Converteris basically determined by its architecture, a single type of Analog to Digital Convertercannot be used for all the applications. Therefore, it is important to properly choose an Analog to Digital Converterfor a particular application. When an Analog to Digital Converter is designed for a specific application, it is required to take advantage of the signal or system properties to enhance the performance of the Analog to Digital Converter. As modern Analog to Digital Converters are highly optimized due to recent available process technologies, circuit design techniques and architectures, it remains a challenge to keep pace with the ever increasing demand for more advanced Analog to Digital Converters. To address these issues, a new structure has been proposed which aims to improve the conversion speed and reduce the power consumption. newline
