Abstract

ABSTRACT newlineThe Thesis entitled Electronic Resources and its usage in State university libraries of Gujarat: A study is research work conducted under the supervision of Dr. Vasantray Chauhan and Dr. Yogesh Parekh. The main objective of the study is to overview the Electronic Resources among its usage among the usage State University libraries of Gujarat. newlineThe present Thesis contains five (5) chapters: newlineChapter 1: Introduction This chapter includes the discusses the background of the study, statement of the problem, study objectives, hypotheses, scope, methodology used for the study, design questionnaire, sample selection for the study, limitations of the present study. newlineChapter 2: Review of Literature It reviews the national and international literature related to the study. It reveals the importance and relevance of the study. The review of literature founds the literature about Electronic Resources, its usage and also the studies done at various universities including State university studies, which gives an immense idea of research work from where to start your research. newlineChapter 3: Electronic Resources - This chapter explains about the concept of Electronic Resources, open access, type of Electronic Resources, features of its, use of Electronic Resources in university libraries, advantages and issues of Electronic Resources and general information of the Electronic Resources available in the universities. newlineChapter 4: Data Analysis the collected data analyzed in this chapter. The data interpreted according to the general characteristics of the population, library and infrastructure, Electronic Resources, training program and issues. newlineChapter 5: Summary of Findings Finally the study concludes the report including suggestion for the successful utilization Electronic Resources and explores the scope for further research.
