Nbdcp A Novel Network Based Method for Disease Comorbidity Prediction

Abstract

Biological databases and clinical databases have hoarded large amount of information during the past few years. Data from clinical databases alone is insufficient for finding novel facts in medical field. If the knowledge gained from clinical data can be substantiated using biological data based evidences, then integrating data from these databases may contribute to new facts and findings in medical research. Such data are helpful in finding disease co morbidities, disease causing genes, adverse drug reactions and also for discovering novel drugs for serious diseases. In this work, we have implemented a system that generate association rules from medical health records of patients using association rule mining algorithm and a disease co-morbidity network was constructed based on the association rules newline
