Abstract: Natural products secreted by organisms or plants are the excellent newlinesources of potential medicinal use. Prodigiosin is a bacterial red pigment with newlineexcellent cytotoxicity activity and can be used in tumor therapy. Ability to newlineproduce the pigment in an industrial setup in bulk quantity is a significant newlinehurdle observed. This challenging hurdle can be overcome by optimizing the newlinemedium to maximize production. newlineThe current investigation was aimed to maximize the production of newlinethe natural anticancer drug, Prodigiosin from the microbes isolated from the newlinemarine soil samples of Coromandel Coast in the Bay of Bengal region. The newlinestudy also investigated the Antiproliferative activity of the isolated compound newlineagainst Retinoblastoma cells newline
