Breast cancer is the most common female cancer worldwide and it is also the principle cause of death from cancer among women globally. Breast cancer has the highest prevalence among Indian women and its incidence is also growing every year. The design used for the present study was pre experimental design. One group pre and post test design was used to evaluate the effectiveness of multi intervention package on quality of life among the breast cancer patients in a selected oncology unit at Erode in Tamil Nadu. OBJECTIVES: 1. To assess the quality of life before and after administration of multi interventional package among breast cancer patient receiving chemotherapy drugs. 2. To determine the effectiveness of multi interventional package on quality of life among breast cancer patients receiving chemotherapy drugs. 3. To find out the association between post test scores of quality of life with socio demographic variables among breast cancer patients. The conceptual frame work used in this study was based on the Pender NJ and Murdaugh Pearsons MA health promotion model. The design used for the present study was pre experimental design. A total of 200 breast cancer patients received chemotherapy admitted at Erode cancer centre, Erode and willing to participate and present during the period of data collection were the samples of the study. CONCLUSION: Women living with and beyond breast cancer have special needs that have to be considered by society and the health care systems. After diagnosis, the quality of life (QOL) of women is highly affected, due to the emergence of physical, psychological, social, emotional, family, spiritual well being effects which lead to changes in attitudes and expectations towards life. Amla supplementation, Spiritual counselling, Acupressure, Guided Imagery and mild walking in the form of aerobic exercise intervention during and after chemotherapy treatment has been identified as a potential strategy to assist women throughout their treatment and positively influences the recovery of QOL.
