dc.description.abstractPrivacy has become one of the most important aspects of the modern age, and newlineindividuals are concerned regarding the security of their private data. In recent years, XML is newlineused as a standard for data exchange format but due to the presence of security risk, the newlineprivacy of XML documents cannot be ensured, and hence sharing of data had become a newlinemajor challenge. Web vulnerabilities cause threats to XML data confidentiality and integrity. newlineThere is a set of security mechanisms such as encryption, decryption, digital signature, and newlinevalidations which are applied to XML documents. A digital signature is a commonly used newlinemethod for ensuring message authentication, non-repudiation, and integrity in which only a newlinesingle signer is responsible for signing the document. Research shows that the security of newlineXML documents cannot be ensured by using digital signature only. Thus the concept of newlinemulti-signature came into existence which can be applied to maintain the integrity by newlinedetecting the changes that occurred during transmission. newline
