In process industries most of the problems are multivariable in newlinenature The tuning of controller for the multivariable system is really newlinechallenging due to the interactions among the variables More than 90 of the newlineindustrial controllers are based on the ProportionalIntegralDerivative PID newlinecontrollers Robustness is an important criterion in controller design because newlinemost of the real systems are vulnerable to external disturbance measurement newlinenoise and model uncertainty Most of the PID controller design problems newlineneed to satisfy multiple criteria For this reason multiobjective evolutionary newlinealgorithms are applied for the design of PID controller newline newline
