The study was based on the primary data collected from various cities in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, and has important implications in the area of Happiness. The report comprises of seven chapters covering introduction, review of literature, research methodology, results, discussion, summary, conclusions, suggestions and implications of the study, as well as references and appendices. newlineChapter I discusses the conceptual framework and variate structure, rationale of the study and objectives of the study. All the variables, independent as well as dependent, have been discussed at length in terms of definitions, characteristics and nature. The rationale of the study outlines the reasons for studying Happiness in light of gender, marital status and age, in the Indian context. Objectives provide a direction to facilitate the systematic examination of the context. newlineChapter II relates to the review of literature. Existing literature related to the independent variables and dependent variable was reviewed. Efforts have been made to briefly describe available studies with respect to their importance to the present study. The review shows the association that the variables of the study have with other variables. newlineChapter III discusses the research design and methodology of the study.
