Abstract: Human Resource is one of the most dynamic sources in an organization. In a modern scenario, the growth of any organization depends on the effective utilization of resources in terms of advance technical knowhow, quality inputs, manpower etc. It is noted that the impact of social sectors like education and health lead to create the enormous growth in the organization. Human Resource today is entirely different because it has very challenging tasks in handling the sophisticated technology in all the sectors of economy. The requirements of human resources may be varied from one industry to another industry especially with the service sector like IT industry which needs huge man power potential in order to achieve more productivity with an efficient manner. Each and every organization has more responsibility to fulfill the employee s satisfaction for attaining the future goals. The role of IT industry in India has become one of the most preferred places in the global business situation. IT industry in India has been playing a pre-dominant role in creating multiple job opportunities. It creates rapid career improvements among the IT professionals. It is observed that one of the major challenges that the IT industry is facing, is employee retention. Retention is the process of maintaining the employees in the organization and it acts as a key factor for the success of the organization. In the present global environment, retaining the talents plays a huge challenge to any organization. Employee retention is a critical factor for the organization because employees are the one of the valuable assets and they are the driving forces which help in achieving organizational goals and objectives. newline
