Abstract: The wireless network applications are composed of heterogeneous components with least cost and small size. The necessity of wireless applications is entirely changed the human s daily life. The sensor nodes replace the direct interaction of manpower in intelligent data collection zones. Typically, a sensor node has four major components: sensing unit, micro controller with memory, transceiver unit and small power backup batteries. The life time of a sensor node is primarily depending on the battery life time. The Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) and its applications are unavoidable in critical situations. Mostly WSNs are deployable in Environmental monitoring, Health care applications, Target Tracking systems and rescue operations during disaster relief operations. The deployment of Wireless Sensor Networks depends on the electrical energy of the device and its usage duration. The absence of the right scheme for energy management may cause the loss of valuable data in sensitive applications. The few key factors decide the performance of WSNs. The first one is reduced delay in data collection may ensure the freshness of the data and second one is consistent maintenance of energy throughout the operation. The security threats in the wireless medium will be more than wired medium communication. The purpose routing security will prevent the general attacks in the transmission path. Hiding the identity of the routing nodes from source to destination and generating the fake route for the original route will protect the malicious activity in the progressing communication. Presence of Malevolent Class Nodes (MCN) among the Customary Class Nodes (CCN) will utilize the additional resources in the network. This causeenergy degradation of CCN nodes, added noise in the sensitive data, deviation/changing of routing information and delay in data reception from sensor to processing unit. Additionally, the collection of sensitive data from source and its aggregation process will give the more importance in WSN.
