dc.description.abstractElectricity is a major contributor of global socio-economic development which leads to a higher standard of living. However, numerous remote areas in developing countries are not connected to a centralized power grid. For domestic consumers, the typical method of electrical supply is Diesel Generators (DG). Now a days, different types of renewable energy sources are used, to supply different applications in rural and urban areas. Increased reliability and energy security are the key benefits that can be achieved by using hybrid renewable systems. Hybrid systems are depended on Photo-Voltaic (PV) systems. This is considered the most popular among other types of renewable systems. A system based on PV diesel is more reliable for the production of electricity than the simple PV system, because the production of a diesel engine is not influenced by the atmospheric conditions. The PV diesel system ensures higher flexibility and efficiency with a lower cost of energy production. Here, the optimization cost of battery power model with the DG fuel consumption and the PV generator model along with the Cuckoo Search (CS) algorithm have been discussed. The Battery power is a cheaper method to perform the tests as no measurement or test equipment is needed and the simulation is used in a parallel manner, simultaneously in various workstations that are feasible. In PV Battery Diesel system, the battery supplies energy when there is no electricity available to provide power and the generated surplus power is stored in battery. The operation of the PV generator as well as its performance are interested to obtain the maximum level of power and the models that describe the module s maximum power output and their behavior are practical for the assessment of the PV system. A stand-alone DG is comparatively less expensive to buy but it is very expensive for its operation and maintenance.
