Abstract: | The proposed research presents a design and practical implementation of the FPGA based combined micro wind and solar hybrid power generation system The solar PV and micro wind system generates hybrid power and gets stored in the battery energy storage system The three phase voltage source inverter employed with the FPGA controller generates the appropriate PWM signals for the switches to invert DC into AC output supply The proposed SPWM SVPWM and MSVPWM signals have been realized and implemented on the Spartan 6E XC6SLX9 FPGA kit The simulation was carried out in the MATLAB/Simulink using XILINX System Generator tool to verify the performance of the system The simulation results have been compared with the experimental results obtained from the prototype model The experimental and simulation results are identical to each other The proposed MSVPWM technique has several advantages such as the low value of THD easily reconfigurable minimum space occupied in the FPGA highly flexible fast and easy digital realization and direct hardware implementation newline |
