Abstract: The ecosystems have affected by water pollution and scarcity of clean water The reason for water pollution is the huge development of industries to fulfil the needs of human beings The improper disposal of industrial effluents agricultural effluents into the aquatic system causes water contamination Hence the ecosystems have to maintain sustainably to prevent environmental problems The main objective of the thesis is to mineralize the organic contaminants dye effluents and non biodegradable pollutants by Advanced Oxidation Technology Nanostructured metal oxide semiconductors are innovative materials involved in the heterogeneous photocatalysis process They can remove the contaminants efficiently without producing secondary products Also the novel composite materials have the ability for the degradation process due to the creation of new or enhanced properties compared with that of individual counterparts In connection with that the mineralization process has to be optimized through the new kind of materials synthesized with desired properties The photocatalysis process depends on the crystalline nature the morphology of the nanomaterials Also the surface area and the optical absorption ability of the nanomaterials have a significant role But the control of size and morphology is the most challenging process during the synthesis of nanostructured materials Based on that the researchers adopt the various synthesis parameters such as molar concentration pH temperature and reaction time and so on for the synthesis of nanomaterials newline
