Abstract: Loss of an eye has a negative impact on the psychological well-being of an newlineindividual. It is reported that a well fabricated prosthetic eye can resolve this issue newlinewithin two years time. Various symptoms reported by prosthetic eye wearers newlineinclude mucoid discharge, tearing, foreign body sensation, and irritation. The newlinepresence of mucoid discharge from the anophthalmic socket is also a factor that newlineimpacts the quality of life of prosthetic eye wearers. Several newlinestudies have described the relationship between ocular signs and symptoms in dry newlineeye patients and contact lens wear. Since the environment for contact lens and newlineprosthesis is similar.
