Abstract: Enormous applications use an infrastructure to connect mobile devices directly. Requirement for mobile equipment that is based on multimedia is exponentially growing up day-by-day, as wireless multi-media oriented services such as live gaming, live streaming/Television and online conferences. Those are deployed over a Hybrid Wireless Networks (HWN). The HWN interconnects both mobile networks and wireless networks. The above networks have been selected to achieve high data rate, high capacity, wide area coverage, more reliability, better performance, high scalability, load balancing and Quality of Service (QoS) control especially for the 4G mobile systems. In spite of more advantages in HWN, it has some challenges such as to increase data transmitting capacity, to strengthen the network connection, proper bandwidth allocation in Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET), to maintain a connection during the handover, to reduce the connection failure in between two networks, energy management, mobility, location management, improve the cooperation between the two nodes. If resource reservation based QoS routing for MANET in a HWN is directly adopted, it leads to invalid resource reservation and race conditional problems. Also, while expanding the coverage area, link failures occur due to mobility of nodes, channel interference, dynamic obstacles and limited energy resources. Because of these limitations, the performance of QoS is degraded. To address these problems, this research work proposes (i) Enhanced QoS Oriented Distributed routing protocol (EQOD) which consists of three major modules: (a) Energy based node isolation method (b) Reputation value based selfish node isolation method (c) Intelligent Packet Carrying System (IPCS) (ii) Priority and Interference aware Multipath Routing Protocol (PIMRP) and newline
