Abstract: This study aims to explore the relationship of stress coping strategies with social support, self efficacy and sense of coherence among adolescents and also to find the significant difference between each variable among adolescents with respect to gender and type of school. The survey method was used to collect data. Sample of the study was taken from 1000 adolescents from different schools of four districts of Punjab. Coping strategy scale (developed by investigator), Social Support Questionnaire (Varghese, 1994), General Self efficacy scale (Schwarzer and Jerusalem, 2000 revised) and Sense of coherence scale (Antonovsky, 2016 revised) were used to collect the data. Mean, median, mode, S.D., Skewness and Kurtosis were calculated for descriptive analysis and found that the data was normally distributed for all variables. Pearson product moment correlation was used to find the relationship between variables. Significant relationship was found between problem focused coping strategy (PFCS) and social support, self efficacy and sense of coherence among adolescent boys and girls while emotion focused coping strategy (EFCS) had insignificant relationship with self efficacy and significant relationship with sense of coherence for boys and girls. Also EFCS had significant and insignificant relationship with social support for boys and girls respectively. Significant difference was calculated using t-ratios. Significant difference was found between PFCS, EFCS and social support while no significant difference between self efficacy and sense of coherence among adolescents with respect to gender. Also there found significant difference between PFCS, EFCS, social support and sense of coherence and insignificant difference between self efficacy among adolescents with respect to type of school. newline
