Abstract: Entrepreneurship promotes the economy of the country through creating job opportunities and offering products and services to the people in the society. It drives the economy of both developed and developing countries. The main characteristics required for an entrepreneur are risk taking, creativity, and innovation in design, development, and delivery of products and services to the people in the society by understanding their needs and wants. India is having significant proportion of rural areas and most of the people in rural areas involve in agricultural activities. In order to have equivalent growth in the economic conditions of people in rural areas in par with the people in urban areas and to avoid migration of rural people to urban areas, the government authorities are focusing on promotion of rural entrepreneurship development. Therefore, this study attempts to examine the perception of rural entrepreneurs of agro and manufacturing industries towards rural entrepreneurship development and its impact on their empowerment in Krishnagiri district. The descriptive research design was implemented in the current research. The researcher used both primary and secondary data. The primary data of the research is obtained through survey method of data collection. The structured interview schedule was used to collect the primary data. The reliability and validity of the interview schedule was verified through the results of pilot study with the sample of 40 rural entrepreneurs (i.e. Twenty from Agriculture related business, and 20 from manufacturing sector). The sample size of main survey is 552. The primary data was analyzed through descriptive and inferential statistical tools using IBM SPSS 20.0 and IBM AMOS 20.0 statistical packages newline
