dc.description.abstract | Electrical energy is the major source in driving everyday life across the globe. Till now, fossil fuel such as coal, diesel, natural gas, etc are used in almost every electrical energy generation systems. With the rapid growth of population, particularly in India, the demand for electrical energy by the society is also growing exponentially. On the other hand, the natural resources used for the generation of electricity depletes at a faster rate and may be exhausted completely within few decades. The excessive use of fossil fuel on the other hand has become a very big threat to all creatures under the sun. All this negative factors on the fossil fuel discourage their use and has led to find an alternative source which shall be economical and environment friendly. In this perspective, it is the need of the hour to search for alternate energy resources to maintain the word running. Heavy research is going on around all parts of the globe to identify such resources and streamline the utilization of those natural renewable energy resources. The major natural renewable energy resources are solar, wind, tidal, etc .India being a tropical country is blessed with the solar power throughout the year. The prime advantage of solar energy is that, it is available in abundance at free of cost and is pollution free. In spite of these advantages, the problem with solar energy in terms of power generation is its unpredictability and variation of solar insolation over an area from time to time. Hence, in tropical countries like India, researchers are keeping on finding and updating technologies for the effective use of solar energy to meet the growing demand. The proposed work concentrates on effective utilization of solar energy using DC-DC converters newline | |
