Progressively, the use of Digital videos has become a part of the dayto-day lives of people. According to the report of CISCO, 60 per cent of the internet consumer traffic will be due to video applications in 2021. The rapid advancement of multimedia technology is ensured only by the quality and quantity of the transmitting videos. The data acquisition, storage capability, transmission rate and visual display content, cost and size have led many people to use a hand held mobile devices with a camera. Also, the mobile service providers nowadays are taking huge effort to improve the perceptual quality of the videos. The moving objects in the scene are affected by both fluctuations and the objects own movement. Stabilizing the video and preserving the quality simultaneously has become a challenging task. In the last decade, the exploitation of digital devices has increased to a greater extent. The videos captured by dilettantes or by the camera fixed on a moving vehicle results in shaky and blurred videos. In this work, we aim at providing a digital video stabilization using a block matching technique in order to reduce the shakiness in the acquired video. A lot of researchers had worked on improving the quality of the video. The problem has been widely examined and even grasped a maturity level. As a part of the research, the dedicated effort has been given to study various works, related to Digital Video Stabilization. Regardless of the conclusions of a various literature survey, a Fast Video Stabilization Technique is presented in this thesis. newline
