Abstract: | The digital revolution occurring in the past two decades has taken the lifestyle of consumers globally to enormous heights due to the huge volume of active research and concepts of miniaturization that are in trend today and aims to simplify the life of consumers. One such area experiencing revolution is the communication and information processing arena. This can be seen in communication gadgets which provide seamless connectivity and speed in communication from one place to another and also in the evolution of generations such as 3G, 4G, and 5G and currently the research on 6G technologies. Most of the gadgets today have migrated from the 3G technologies and have become outdated within a very short span of time newlinemoving towards 4G and 5G compatible technologies where communication is through mobile and tab based devices, virtual conferences involving unbuffered video signals without any interruptions. In the current scenario, consumers are able to communicate to any other person either as a voice call or video call through LTE networks at any point of time from any point on the globe at affordable costs. It could be well observed that wireless based communication have replaced almost all of the wired devices through fast communicating channels with required bandwidth. Wi-Fi, WIMAX are the derivatives of this communication revolution. The recent innovation of wireless technologies is the wireless sensor networks which are basically derived from wireless Ad Hoc Networks. The main advantage of wireless sensor networks is that they could be deployed in almost all locations where human presence and intervention is very difficult and nearly impossible. Wireless sensor networks are basically composed of sensors and these sensors are equipped with limited processing capabilities and limited battery power. The sensors sense the conditions and values in the scene of deployment and relay them to the control base station through a chain of nodes which form the wireless communication channel. This plays a vital role in applications like monitoring of enemy movement and activities in hostile environments, monitoring areas affected by naturaldisasters and calamities to assess the damage and also monitoring patient newlinecondition in a medical arena and so on. newline newline |
