Abstract: | Mobile Health is one of the growing areas in the field of Pervasive Computing, where in the portable devices are capable to create, store, retrieve, transmit and receive patient s vital health records. The related Technologies of these devices makes the data available to physicians or health care administrators to ensure the patient s safety and quality of care. These pervasive health care systems reduce and save time considerably. To reach the vision of pervasive health system, following technologies such as embedded systems, IoT (Internet of Things) wireless communication, sensors integration, GPS(Global Positioning Systems), LBS(Location based services) are vital. Mobile phones can be used for many physiological monitoring and examination. Analyzing the data obtained through medical records, equipment and hand-held personal devices will enhance the accuracy of decision-making for professionals and enables patients to take a more active role in managing their personal health. IoT solutions can be used to securely capture patient health data from a variety of sensors, apply algorithms to analyze the data and then share it through wireless connectivity with medical professionals who can make appropriate recommendations. However, in some places, the use of LBS (Location Based Services) in healthcare is limited because of lack of resources or information for getting timely information to users or patients who need health care services and the availability of health care facilities like pharmacy, hospital, clinic, blood bank, etc. has to be seamlessly reached since there is no proper mapping of the route to the nearest health care center. Another emerging research area in Pervasive Health Care systems is E-Prescriptions. newline |
