Abstract: | The purpose of the study was to elaborate the achievements and contribution of Arjuna Awardee Shree Akhil Kumar in field of boxing. Researcher studied the life sketch of Shree Akhil Kumar. Akhil was born on 27th march 1981 in family of father Sh. Shiv Bhagwan Mishra and mother Smt. Shyama Devi. He has two sisters and a brother .Akhil was born in Rahli Misharka purba, Faizabad. Arjuna Awardee Shree Akhil Kumar was belongs to conservative Brahmin family. Akhil was supported by his family members especially Sh. Shalinder Kumar Mishra elder brother he was motivating factors in his excelling boxing career. He helped him to transform his energy and zeal into a profession. He started to participate in sports in 1994, at S. D. Sen. Sec. School, Gurgaon of Haryana. After completing his school education, Shree Akhil Kumar was admitted to Vaish College, Bhivani. He won gold medal in A.I.I.U, He married to Poonam Beniwal boxing coach at N.S.N.I.S. Patiala. Akhil Kumar coach was Dronacharya Awardee Sh. Jaidev Bisht who develops boxing skill in Akhil. He won number of national and international boxing competitions. .Akhil started a boxing club named Akhil Kumar Boxer Club at Gurgaon further his project expanded to Hisar. He produce boxer like Mandeep Jhangra, Manish Panwar and Jatinder Kumar. In 2005 Akhil received Arjuna Award in Boxing from the Government of India. He was also panelists in different sports bodies. He is the real gem of Indian boxing finding of this study may helpful in boxing field. newline |
