Abstract: | newline ABSTRACT newline newlineThe main purpose of the study was to find out Emotional Intelligence and Self Confidence of National and All India Inter-varsity volleyball players. Method: the sample consisted of 400 volleyball players. Further it was categorized into two groups 200 National volleyball players (100 male and 100 female) and 200 All India Inter-varsity volleyball players (100 male and 100 female) from India and age ranging of 18 to 25 years. Emotional Intelligence scale on emotional intelligence by S. K. Mangal, Shubhra Mangal and self-confidence questionnaire on self-confidence by M. Basavanna was used for this study. It was hypothesized that there will be significant difference in Emotional Intelligence and Self-Confidence of National and All India Inter-varsity volleyball players. On the basis of the tests of population proportion (t-test) was used and significance was set as 0.05 level.One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was employed to compare the four groups of volleyball players. In order to determine which groups differs significantly, the post hoc mean comparison was obtained by applying Tukey HSD Test. The statistical package SPSS was utilized for analysis. newlineResult:The result of this study shows that a significant difference exists in the Emotional Intelligence of National and All India Inter-varsity volleyball players further it also shows that a significant difference exists in the Self-Confidence of National and All India Inter-varsity volleyball players. newlineKey words: Assessment, Emotional Intelligence, Self Confidence, National Players and All India Inter-varsity Players. newline newline |
